What does raising your vibration mean to begin with!?

Everything is Energy – Science is proving that, Quantum Physics is proving that – from the chair you sit in, to the plate you eat off, the kind of food you do eat, the thoughts you think and the feelings you feel.

When we are in an emotional state – whether that be anger, frustration, love, joy, or gratitude as examples, they all have a different vibration.  Just like a Twinkie does to a Green Salad or a chair to a table, anger vs love – they are all different.  Some are denser than others 🙂

What is Vibration – a person’s emotional state, the atmosphere of a place, or the associations of an object, as communicated to and felt by others.

Now we do know that Love, Gratitude and Joy are higher vibrations – it’s been proven.

How does one get there if it’s not  a common state of being, have been having more crappy days than great days, dealing with a ton of stress or something along those lines so you just aren’t in a place of a higher vibrational state of being!

I want to share an exercise I did before and I did again last night – what an experience both times.

Last night I did it while I was doing Yin Yoga – so a 90 min session and I was listening to Bentinho Massaro doing some guided meditations of basically raising your state. (you can find him on Youtube – cool dude)  his exercise that I did before is really for at least 10 seconds for every minute think and feel amazing things about you, your life, your body, your being for 2 hours – set a timer and go – when I did it I couldn’t believe how fast the time went and how good I felt.

So through holding a Yoga pose (you don’t have to do Yin Yoga during this at all  – I just chose to – just don’t let yourself be distracted be fully present yet relaxed).  I kept my focus on my breath – nice long and deep breathing and keep engaging in feeling different feelings to start training my body to embody them more often – love, gratitude, excitement, creativity, empowerment, abundance, courage etc

I felt like for awhile I was almost in an altered state – it felt friggin awesome!!

Sometimes the simple things of slowing down, being present connecting with out breath, getting out of our mind and learning to embody new ways of feeling can be life changing – everything is energy and energy is powerful……..when used correctly!!  We can create more by doing that then running around being busy trying to do, do, do.

We are walking antenna’s that helps to find tune the station better and to adjust to a better station or a station more in tuned to who you truly be!!

The process is meditative and in this short video Dr Joe Dispenza explains what is’ like to be incoherent and then coherent with the brainwaves and the heart – big difference in the body and health and connecting with the Field – of Infinite Possibilities.

The more we are connected with our selves and true nature this becomes much easier, we are lighter, freer,  more in the flow and having magic happen all around us!

Fall in Love with You & Your Life

Being someone that has struggled with an eating disorder when younger and now realizing I need to share my story and bring awareness so others can overcome their struggles with food, body issues or low self esteem. Dr’s don’t know how to work with this situation and the recovery rate is not very high at all. The one thing that separates an eating disorder or emotional eating from other addictions is that food is everywhere!! We create many gatherings around food, celebrations, deaths, parties and it’s even trendy to be a ‘foodie’ now whether that is raw, vegan, gluten free, paleo or whatever else is out there!! There fore overcoming an eating issue is much harder than say drugs – you can quit those all together.

Healthy Relationship with Food

What is so important to learn or actually in some cases unlearn is how we feel inside – what beliefs or programs are you (was I ) running? With the media today on tv, magazines and the internet we are constantly bombarded and reminded that we are not good enough the way we are and there is something outside of ourselves that is better or will fix our problems or make our life better. We are constantly chasing something or someone……….yet not going within.

It feels so good, so free when we let go, de-program and allow our authentic self emerge!

We need to de-program lack and not good enough and re-program with self love and being good enough.

Maybe it comes with age – when you start realizing some of that crap just isn’t important, maybe it comes with an awakening of some sort, maybe when one decides to finally take the blue pill
I reflect back over my life and look at the times I gave my power away to food, people and places – not feeling good enough or that thing or person had more power over me.

If Everything is Energy – including our states of being – aka not good enough, we can step into realizing that we can change that. If I can feel not good enough – how about feeling good enough – what does that feel like? Try it on. If I hate myself or my body – lets start asking better questions – why would I choose that?
What else could I feel instead? How could I better be myself? Why do I need to follow the crowd or try and fit in? etc
You and I did choose that, we are choosing everything we think and feel. We need to take responsibility for that (waking up) and know we can create something else. How do I want to feel? What would I like to experience?
It has nothing to do with anyone else, judging, comparing, what happened in the past or what might happen in the future. It’s about being fully present in the moment and falling in love with you, your body and your life!!

Quantum Physics is proving that our environment is a reflection or extension of our mind. I will keep repeating that often as our thoughts are electric and our feelings are magnetic. What that means is if I am thinking I am not good enough AND feeling it I am manifesting people and situations that reflect that back to me that I am not good enough. No one has done anything to me that I haven’t been thinking or feeling therefore viberating.
Yes, that may have raised some questions as it did for me many times as I did not understand how I could have created some of the crap I did in my life.

Get Playful & Colourful in Your Imagination

Get creative with your imagination – it all starts there and is very powerful!

Everything is Energy……..that has been proven.
Are you thinking and feeling Love, Joy, Gratitude, Empowerment, Integrity, Bliss, Compassion or not??

Any fear, doubt, lack, anger, frustration etc will over ride those. That kind of energy is dense and heavy.

We can even take it further as many of the Guru’s say this is a variety of ways – don’t look at reality and use that as your guidance, stay focused on how you do want to feel and what you do want to experience – it’s not avoiding it’s a form of overriding. If everything is energy – where attention goes energy flows.

We are programmed for the negative – just look at the news or television – telling a vision – who’s vision though? It sure ain’t yours or mine so if I may suggest stop watching the tv, reading the paper, and buying those crappy magazines!!

I was in a check out line yesterday and I was looking at the magazines and all the headlines – nothing has changed since I was about 20 yrs old and buying into the programming of lack and not good enough way back then – it’s only gotten worse – if I buy this and read it – then my life and body will be perfect………..

Love – Self Love

What is perfect? What is true for you?
It requires slowing down, connecting with self, going within and knowing you are awesome!

Yes – it’s true. We have been lead to believe we aren’t good enough the way we are.
We are constantly chasing something.

We are powerful creators, we have just been doing it unconsciously and now we can learn to create consciously and set our intentions on what we truly desire.

Do you know what your truly desire or desire to feel?
You are good enough and you are deserving – now do you feel and believe that?

Lets start there!! Practice embodying feeling good enough and deserving!

Alfred was a Photographer in the late 1800’s early 1900’s – it’s incredible when you think about  what some people knew even back then about energy, meditation truly living.  It always comes back to you and what you are thinking and feeling inside.

Let go of the external reality to go within as they are proving we are living in a Universe which is a feed back loop for our thoughts and feelings – the environment is an extension of our mind.

We are way more love and powerful than we realize and our imagination is way more powerful than knowledge yet it starts from within!!  Awareness leads to Consciousness.

We are creators – we just need to truly embody that!

End of One Journey

 

At 6 am as I was waiting outside for my cab I was enjoying the quiet and warm breeze on my skin as I knew in 12 hours I would be freezing cold.  After spending 4 months in Mexico – my body, mind and soul had been so nurtured in so many ways and I have fallen in love with this country.  I also knew that this journey was coming to an end.

Another chapter was about to start.

I got to the airport early to miss the morning Mexico City traffic – like you could really do that but we did.

As I sat and really realized I was going back to Canada –excited to see my friends, yet also to put endings on a few things too.  I was already getting booked with shoots with Yogi’s and dinner dates and a few interviews with my projects I had started.

I finished off my time in Mexico with a weekend in Mexico City attending Joe Dispenza – everything was clicking for me.  The work one does going within does pay off.  Now I had been learning and doing Joe’s meditations but to hear him live and explain the science behind things, the miracles people were having in their health and lives was incredible not to mention the people I was meeting from Mexico, Columbia, Peru, USA also on the path learning about Quantum Physics, the field, and creating higher consciousness was in itself an amazing experience.

Things clicked even deeper.

Synchronicities all around!!

People are awakening.

People do know we have been lied to and dumbed down – through our foods (GMO’s) our tv and advertising – never enough, good enough, rich enough, fast enough etc and the agendas of our governments and corporations.

This post isn’t about those things though as where you put your attention is where energy goes.

Love my morning walk on the beach watching the surfers!!

I have had the most amazing journey and it’s still going – just changing form for a little bit.

Life for me got much clearer, simpler, freer and I could truly start embodying more of me.

Sounds silly I know but some of us try to fit into a society where intuitively we know we really don’t belong as so much doesn’t make sense.

Diving deeper into Quantum Physics re-enforces that we do create our lives fully yet usually through glasses with filters of our beliefs, perceptions, lack, fear, doubt, not good enough etc

 

When some shit hit the fan – I had to really look at why I was creating it.  Do you ever stop to recognize any patterns going on in your life?

What usually is the common denominator?

You?

Dam it wasn’t fun for a bit – but moving through that I began to truly create with more awareness through being fully present  in the moment (ok as much as possible after all I am human J), having an attitude of love and gratitude even when during classes early on in my Yoga Teacher Training I just wanted to cry – I knew my body was releasing old memories that no longer served me – not fun while going through it but oh so worth it afterwards.

Looking back over the past 4months I can’t believe how fast the time went, the new friends I have, the many people I met, the amazing experiences I had, the places I visited, the things I saw and did……..words cannot describe it!!

The one thing I have learned is my soul loves some routine but it loves even more adventure – I can not get up each morning doing the same thing each day – no wonder I didn’t stay at many jobs for a long time – it’s just not me.  No wonder I work on line and from wherever I am – I thrive on that.  No wonder I am always creating whether it be in the kitchen, on an adventure, in photography, new programs and books or………..I love creating, it’s part of my being.

This trip has made me realize it even more so and has deepen it so much that now I am embodying it.

Back in Canada for 3 weeks then back down to Mexico for more adventures – in that time my second on line project will be released, my photos will start emerging and my first of two books will be published.

It’s been one amazing start to 2017 and I am falling more in love with my life each day.

Being Present in each moment

Consciousness – what truly is it?  Why have I chosen to include that in my tag line?

For me as I go through life and am waking up, growing, learning, expanding I truly realize how unconscious I am or have been.  How I have been running on auto pilot – which most if not all of us are to some degree or another – it’s not a judgment it is how our minds and body work.

I am sure you have heard the story of the iceberg representing our conscious an unconscious states – the tip of the ice berg is our conscious awareness yet under neath the water lies a much larger iceberg attached – that is a representation of our conscious and unconscious or subconscious minds.

From diving in and learning more from Dr Joe Dispenza – our bodies actually become our minds and run the show due to feelings and emotions – for me it’s become fascinating stuff!!

If we truly want change in our lives we need to break the Habit of Being Ourselves and become someone new – we are creating new thoughts, feelings and emotions i the body – and I will go into more detail about that – as it truly is possible as I have been experiencing it!

Self Time or Meditations is so great for us!

It’s like having a computer – it doesn’t do a thing until you start downloading programs into it.  Our minds are the same way.

We let our outside world determine how we feel many times  – we are taking cues from outside to determine how we want to feel or are programmed to feel.

We can recall experiences in the past usually by how we feel about them – good, great or not so good.

Feelings and Emotions are chemical records of past experiences.

Do we truly want to keep living in the past?

I know I have been  – you can tell by what you are thinking about over and over – chances are it’s not the future (unless you are worrying about it and that is based on past experiences) or being fully present in the moment.

We’ve heard many times Everything is Energy – yet what does that truly mean?

We are energy.  Yes everything is energy even things that seem dense like a table – it’s just it’s energetic vibration is a dense one to say green foods as a simple example.

Anger, depression, low self worth are heavier, denser energies compared to joy, love and gratitude which are higher vibrational energies.

You can tell by how you feel by experiencing any of those which I am sure you’ve experienced them all!!

Your mind and also your body do not the know the difference between reality and imagination – even Einstein found this back in the day – your imagination is actually more powerful!

If everything is energy – and we are energy then we are also consciousness.

What is consciousness?

It is being fully present, i the moment, aware of it’s mind and surroundings and choices one makes and also open to not having to control things and let the universe surprise.

I can’t wait to dive deeper into this since I know that many women have been struggling with self esteem issues, emotional eating issues and body issues – it’s time we changed the energy of all of that!!

We create by our thoughts, intentions, and feelings.

It’s time to do so consciously – as we are so worthy of it and powerful!!

When you are doing something are you fully present or is your mind wandering on what you will be doing next, or need to do, want to do or the shopping list?

I have been having some fun watching surfers – so many from different places, beginners to advanced, young to old – checking out the conditions, having patience and being very present an focused.

You have to be.

Whenever you find your mind is everywhere else but in what you are doing, in being fully present just take a few deep breaths in an you will come back into your body!!

It helps to create being present, awareness, focus and more consciousness.

Create a magical day by doing things or at least something that you love, that lights you up!!

Love in Sayulita Mexico

Quite the combination eh?  You are probably wondering how that came about??

 

Over the years, with many modalities, workshops, reading and from experiences has come learning and growing.  I have dived into consciousness and quantum physics off and on over the years not always understanding it.  People use the words, yet I feel very few people truly embody it.

What I have and still am learning with an eating disorder it goes much deeper into the psyche than I ever realized, so it’s become more of my mission to dive even deeper in.

When I am going through some major life lessons I am always looking for what I can learn, how I can grow, what do I need to be aware of, the patterns and beliefs for things to have been created like that – as we are the creator of everything in our lives.  What I am learning is exciting and I am diving deeper studying with Dr Joe Dispenza – this whole quantum field, consciousness and neuroscience is fascinating.

 

I still have a ton to learn and embody yet it keeps getting better every day.

Consciousness

Consciousness to me is personal growth, being willing to look at your stuff, open to letting go of ego and the way things should be, being more present in each moment as that is really all there is.  Knowing that as being consciousness we effect matter therefore it’s so important to eat, think and feel high vibing food, feelings, emotions which I will keep going into!!

Some things need to be left in the past!

It’s about being present – not living in the past and anything that keeps us stuck in old emotions get looked at, released and healed.  It’s about knowing and honouring who you truly are and not pretending to be someone else, competing, hiding yourself and doing things that aren’t you or you don’t like doing – even a job. leave the old crap in the past!

Breathing, meditation, love making, certain activities like surfing, yoga etc help greatly to be in the present moment!!

Surfer in Sayulita Mexico

I have had the pleasure of being able to de-program many things over the last couple of years of how I was living and what I was doing.  Even yesterday I got called out by caring people twice on some bs I was doing to still not fully embody who I truly be!!!

I love it!!

Everything is Energy – which has a vibration.  Anger and hatred and process foods have very low or even dense vibrations.  Love, Joy, Gratitude and real, fresh foods especially when grown with love and sunlight have much higher vibrations.

 

Example of how the Universe can work and does work when we get out of the way and try not to figure out the how.

Yesterday I thought of some photos I want to take while here in Sayulita, they are with the water and I need to use a slow shutter release – so slow I will need a tripod, which I did not bring with me.  This am I looked up a couple of photographers and called two and left a message about renting a tripod, then got busy with some other things and forgot about it. Low and behold later this afternoon as I went for a quick dip in the ocean, as I was walking down I suddenly realize I was behind 2 teenagers who lived here and spoke perfect English were carrying a tripod and yes he would rent it to me!!

Yes!!!

Does it matter?

 

Consciousness to me is about all that we do, eat, feel and say – trust me I am learning every day where I am not or have not been conscious and it’s not a judgment of self, it’s awareness and once I have that then I can choose how I want to feel, be, say or do!

I’ve dived into Yoga off and on since I was in my early 20’s, yet saying that not for the right reasons.

It was more for the asana’s and work out, not the body connection, breath work or even meditation.

After years of working out hard, my body said stop and I did very little for a couple of years (this is also when I was deprogramming on many levels). My body was tired and achy – first time I could truly feel being in my body after a in person session with Mas Sajady.  People that have had an eating disorder or emotional eating work very hard to disconnect from their bodies.  Yoga helps to reconnect to it IF done with being kind to self and not creating it into a fitness program, judgment about self, body, weight, what you can or can’t do, and what fashion you are or aren’t wearing.

It has helped me become more connected to my body, aware and kinder to it.  Gone are the days of hitting the gym, long runs or any type of hard workout to look better or punish my body – it wants to be loved in many ways!

This truly is one of my passions and an art of mine that I have not allowed myself to do or found excuses why I couldn’t or shouldn’t do it.  Plus I was programmed that I could never make money doing Photography – and I bought into it.  All I know is I so enjoy doing it and there are tons of photographers who are better than me yet that is not what it is about.  People have encouraged me for years to keep at it, yet I never felt like I was good enough to do it.  So because it brings me pleasure and allows me to create and be / feel creative I want to bring in my Photography especially while travelling.

I have started working on a Photo Yoga project – where there is flow there is go.  I am needing many Yogi’s for this project and so far everyone I have asked or talked to has said yes!!  You will know more about it shortly and later this year it will be out!  That is just one Photo project!!

We are moving in a direction of healing for many of us and embodying more of ourselves yet sometimes we just don’t know where to turn we just know it’s time!

Living this way does not numb us, it gets us back in touch with ourselves.

Real being therefore real conversations.
Whole, plant based foods are true medicine.
Sharing vulnerably is being authentic.
Authentic connection is liberating.
Singing, dancing, being creative  and cooking is true medicine.
Nature is grounding.
Yoga is true reconnecting.
Meditation is slowing down and going within.

Love can create miracles.

Went into a Mexican town near where I am staying to this restaurant that served the best shrimp ever.  We got the lat table and parking space as it was busy in this area with a New Years Day celebration going on al over and people were every where!

I got to watch the people having fun, playing, eating, celebrating – what joy!  Then I got to watch the sunset – and that is one of my most favourite things to do is watching the sun rise or set – such beauty and in the moment!!

Now that we know from Part one why New Years Resolutions suck – what can we do differently to make sure 2017 doesn’t turn out like 2016, 2015, 2014 and so on!

We all have things we want to improve on, work towards, change or let go of – go ahead and make that list of those things.

Now ask yourself why?  Why is it I want to have, be or do those things……..keep asking yourself why or even what will it mean?

When you’ve gone as far as you can now dig a little bit and ask how you will feel when you get there.

I want to lose 5 lbs

Why?

Because my clothes won’t feel so tight

What does that mean to me?

I can wear more of my clothes and feel better in my body.

How does that feel when I think of myself being able to wear more of my clothes and feel better in my body.

I will feel more confident, more attractive, healthier……..

What you are truly going for is the feeling or essence of what you desire – if there is no emotion behind it, there is no energy and it will not happen.

because, I do

Yes but why?

I don’t know, so I can fit in my clothes but it never happens, this probably won’t be any different this time (you may be thinking as well)

How will that make you feel?

I don’t know, better……

 

See the difference, better yet FEEL the difference.

Get some energy behind what you truly desire not just in New Year’s Resolutions but anything in life – E-motion is Energy in Motion – if there is truly just nothing there there will be nothing there.  Time to spend some time and get real and honest with yourself.  I you want to lose 5 lbs but have no interest in doing anything different and really don’t care if you first into more of your clothes or not – then just be honest with yourself so that later on you don’t have an excuse to mentally or verbally beat yourself up.

On you have the why, the emotion and the energy behind it – then you will more naturally move in directions that will help you on that path – all of a sudden some of your cravings may go down, or you just aren’t as interested in eating some of those foods, or tv well what a waste time lets go for a walk, get out in nature or do some stretching become a priority.

Pay attention though – you may get tested a few days in – go back read our why, the emotions and you may need to really bring those feelings to the forefront again as since we are human beings it can be easy to fall back into old patterns and programming – it takes minimum 21 days to change a habit / pattern as we are creating neuro-pathways.

I know you can do it though – you’ve got it in you.

Why settle for mediocrity where there is so much more out there!!

You deserve it!!

I’e got your back as I’ve been there before!!

2017 is going to be the year of truth and growth.

Lets not waste our time making the same New year’s resolutions as all the previous year.

Why do I say that?

These are the common resolutions people make each year

Lose Weight and Get Fit
Quit Smoking
Learn Something New
Eat Healthier and Diet
Get Out of Debt and Save Money
Spend More Time with Family
Travel to New Places
Be Less Stressed
Volunteer
Drink Less

Sometimes all we see or focus on is what we have to give up, get through or the pain of change.

 

As I write this I am sitting in a quaint, little roadside cafe with organic gardens around, sunlight filtering through, beautiful music softly playing, fresh food available and open, nice people around – oh and I am wearing flip flops too!

I have learned this nurtures my Soul big time!!

I became honest with myself and what I truly desired!

What is the definition of insanity?

Keep doing the same things over and over yet expecting different results!  And I know that – I’ve been there many times!

I stopped doing NY’s resolutions years ago.  I started doing thing daily, weekly, monthly that in a years time I could look back,reflect and say holy shit – good job Jodi!!!  Look at how far you’ve come, look at where you were and where you are now!

It’s those little things, those little steps / choices that we make daily that over time can hugely shift our lives – it does not have to be the all or nothing on NY’s!

Look at gym memberships as an example – the first week in January the gym is crowded – you will wait for machines, classes will be jammed pack full and my March back to the same old.

Stop jumping in with the all or nothing mentality!
