The Eagle

In the Eagle, there is all the wisdom of the world.

I would like to share this little story because of my friend Sandra.
The last few times we’ve spoken, she has mentioned several times every time someone comes into her reading room they comment on my eagle picture you’ve got to share it  she says.
By the way she’s an awesome reader – check her out.
I got thinking okay I’ll share it as I have a fascination with Eagles and I’ve been blessed many times in my life with amazing encounters with eagles.
Even the story behind this image yet I will share this one.
When I was getting married, my mom, who had past away 6 months earlier, I asked her for a sign that she was with me when I got married.
It was a simple wedding with a couple of friends on the beach on Vancouver island.
I said mom, please give me a sign through the eagle during the wedding.
While we were  doing our vows there was an eagle way high up in the sky flying above us.
I said to my friend well  she came but I was hoping for something else something more to be honest. Yet I was happy.
She said Jodi, you can’t you can’t have expectations of how it’ll show, how she will show you, yet she did let you know.  I said I know, I guess I wanted more.  I was missing my mom to be honest.
Anyways, we went for dinner.
At dinner both my brother and I both had ordered rice with our meals and instead we  got mashed potatoes.  I asked the waiter for rice.  Sandra asked me if I didn’t like mashed potatoes, I replied with I love mashed potatoes but my mom had the best mashed potatoes.  She said really.  So I asked the kids who had the best mashed potatoes and both replied together – Grandma Eve (as they called her).
Sandra replied with well, that’s how it works  – your mom is letting you know she is here but not in the way you expected or wanted.
hmmmm ok I said okay fair enough I get it!
The next day comes and my  husband and I drive out to Tofino on the far West coast on Vancouver Island.
We were staying at a hotel at the far end of the beach from Tofino.
We pulled up to this  hotel as it was set back from the water but it’s where all the fishing boats anchored. The big fishing boats that go out to sea.
As we pulled into the parking lot there was at least 50 Eagles sitting  in trees all around.
I want okay thanks Mom that is awesome but wait, it gets better !!
The next morning I get up and  make my coffee,  we’re staying in a condo style hotel  on the second floor.
I make my coffee and go to sit on the couch as it’s has a great view out the window.
Right off  to the side is as big tree  less than 30 feet from the balcony and sitting on a branch is an Eagle looking at me.
Whoa!!
We didn’t leave till about 10 or so that morning  and the eagle was still there.
We came back about 5 or so to get ready for dinner and  the eagle was still there.
We came back from dinner about 9 or so the eagle was still there.
Wow, ok thanks Mom!!!!
Of course the next day when I woke up,  the Eagle was gone, but I knew my mom was letting me know she was there.
There is no division between the seen and unseen except what we allow.
What stops us is our fears, points of views and programs.
As Everything is Energy and just vibrates at different speeds.
Me, yeah I’m still working on heightening my skills yet it’s possible for any of us.
The marriage didn’t last but the memory did!!
Thanks for reading!!

PS – I don’t share this to brag about the Eagles as to loved ones are still near us many times.

Being Unstoppable

Being Unstoppable

Being Unstoppable

In my life experience so far, I have had many obstacles, walls and hardships come  my way. One of the best things I started doing was take responsibility for everything in my life – the good, the bad, the ugly oh and the great.  All of it was because of me – nothing outside of me.

I can say about myself is that I haven’t  always faced my obstacles  – I did play the blame game or played the victim, when I realized no matter what I am responsible things started shifting.  When I looked at my life and stepped into the fear of the unknown but had goals, stayed focused and took on the Unstoppable Attitude – things started shifting.

I share the photo (yes I took it) of the Eagle as it’s one of my favorite animals but if you ever have the chance to watch them they too have that attitude.  They fly the highest, are usually perched the highest  – approximately 1000 sq feet high in the air flying could spot prey in a 3 mile radius, have eye sight that can spot a rabbit moving about a mile away, can see forward and side ways at the same time, can see deep in the water fish from 100’s of feet above and can live to be about 48 years old.

Eagles have an Unstoppable Attitude – where in your life or business could you bring more laser focus, or the Unstoppable Attitude in?

Overcoming obstacles and stepping into your fears and knowing where you are going allows you to achieve your goals and dreams no matter what comes in your way!

Why not start Today!!??

I Love Monday Mornings!!!

I love Monday mornings!!!

While most people are up and out the door fighting traffic in rush hour or rushing to catch the bus that is too crowded or having to stand in the subway as they’re packed in like sardines in a can, I get to by pass all of that.

It’s a choice and I consider myself rather fortunate at what or how I’ve choosen to start my mornings, loving where I live and being an entrepreneur working for myself allowing me to do this.

After getting the kids off to school my dog Spirit and I head out the door, up a steep little hill at the end of our road to a path that takes us into and through the rainforest.  After about 15 minutes or so, we come out the paths end to the beach.  It is the West coast of Bristish Columbia where we can see Vancouver Island, where we lived for almost 2 years.

After spending the past six months in Ontario, it has given me at least a renewed love for the Coast. Yes it rains alot here sometimes, even this morning as I walked back along the beach it started to drizzle, but it wasn’t snow!!! I could hear the waves beating up against the sand and stones. Before I started back up the road to our house, I stopped and watched a few Eagles as they flew and circled above…….rain what rain??

Returning home has allowed me to come with fresh eyes, loving the beauty that surrounds me.

No matter where you live, there is beauty, there are neat things to see or do.

Try seeing it through different eyes, you just might see something you’ve been missing!!!

Feel free to share what you love about where you live.
These photos were taken at different times!!
