We were ALL born pure, innocent and full of love – somewhere along the line the story got distorted!

The drug of choice for many, especially women, is food.  Something every human needs, every single day. Thats what makes it harder to break free.

 

Along with that drug often comes constant self-criticizing, loathing, judging, and obsessing about what one ate, didn’t eat, body size, and shape. No matter how small the perceived imperfections, their importance becomes distorted.

 

Yes, media, advertising, parents, teachers, friends, or siblings may play a role in seeming to remind us that we aren’t good enough the way we are but it is we who buy into it, we who believe it.

 

It’s a disorder gone rampant. More than 91% of women dislike their bodies and themselves, many to a dangerous and debilitating extreme. 80% of 13-year-old girls have already tried dieting, and 95% of people with an eating disorder are between the ages of 12 and 25.

 

I know – I’ve been one of them.

 

The mental, emotional, and often times also physical, self-bondage is excruciating – yet many, myself included, hide it well from others.

It Can Seem Lonely – We Don’t Have to Live that Way!

 

21 Days Food and You is ALL about installing new ways of thinking and being and interrupting what you are doing or being now.

After my struggle with an eating disorder, that only in the last couple of years have I started sharing my story – I found ways in which to heal myself, find myself and return to self love – regular counselling did not nor never did work for me.  I am not dissing it – it was just not for me.

I’ve done many things over the years to keep diving deeper within to find the real me, the hidden me, the wounded me so that I could come back to Self Love – which includes ALL of me without judgments and criticism – and hey I am not perfect.

When we let go of these programs that we think are us and running the show keeping us stuck in self destructive thinking and behaving – life gets better, we become lighter and freer.

In 21 Days I share tools and techniques that helped me – the great thing is you can redo it a often as you like – and it only gets better.

It’s a place to start.

Once you do – you will be happy that you did – it will open up new ways of thinking, feeling and even being yourself and others.

My wish for you is each day forward it only gets better – trust me – its’ worth it and so are you!!!

What does Higher Vibe Living with Food truly mean in our food obsessed culture!!?

Since being in Mexico I have been on an exploratory journey – clearing much old energy, old programs, wounds etc and diving much deeper into learning about Quantum Physics, who we truly are, unplugging from the Matrix and that ALL programing is a construct of our minds – look around – most people are running on auto pilot yet don’t know it.

Some – many are waking up.

We are NOT human beings – we our Souls – and while we are on planet Earth we live in what we call bodies.

Now, while we inhibit our bodies we do need to take care of them as we live in the dense 3rd dimension – we are not pure Love & Light…..yet., which is energy!

Yet at the same time we have become a culture that is food and body obsessed.

These again are distractors and programs that create separation, judgment and more.

Why?

I will share with you in a minute and please don’t get me wrong – I am and have been into healthy eating and living for many years – yet I keep it simple – I keep it real – real food, real body products, real feelings (I will also go into more of that in a post)……..it’s not rocket science yet today it is more overwhelming, confusing and make work projects to find real food and body care products so that at least our bodies aren’t polluted.

What real food looks like!!

Marketing is big and we are being lied to constantly!!

When I became a Raw Food Chef – I felt I was better, had better knowledge and was higher on the scale of …..I don’t know really just felt I was better – judgment, separation as I judged many people on what they ate or didn’t eat.  I have also been at the other end of the spectrum with an eating disorder and know what it is like from both perspectives!!

We have Raw, Vegan ( I do subscribe to non-cruelty and that we don’t need any or near as much meat as we have been lead to believe we need – eat it consciously if you choose to eat meat) Vegetarian, Paleo, Ketosis and I could go on.  Most feel they have figured it out and it’s the right answer.

For some it is.

Real Foods and Superfoods

Yet does it truly matter?

I will always come back and say that there is a HUGE difference in a big live colorful raw salad compared to Rotten Ronnies oops I mean McDonald’s  as an example.

But lets look at the energy of it instead of just the nutritional value or not of it – one is certainly vibing at a higher rate – live real foods will always trump dead process foods.  It feeds the body and cells and the body knows how to digest it and utlize it.

With dead highly processed foods the body is so busy trying to get it out of the system ASAP – sluggishness, bloating etc

When we start looking at everything as energy and vibration because everything IS energy – you start to wake up, you start to choose differently – usually starting with food first as then you can think clearer, then you will want to use cleaner products on your body – since your body is the biggest organ and absorbs ALL.

You may want to start doing Yoga (or something similar), meditating, spending more time in nature,  adding in superfoods, being alone or taking responsibility for ALL things in your life as a few examples.

That is all part of raising one’s vibe – raising one’s awareness – becoming more conscious.

Then you let go of judgments, right vs wrong, labels, and possibly even programming keeping you separate from yourself which in essence separate from everyone else.

When one keeps raising their vibration – less food is needed and one truly only wants real food – as real food (usually what comes from a plant not process in a plant aka man made for profit not real health)is what feeds the body and nourishes the cells – one starts becoming more aware of energy and starts playing with that – stepping more into the 4th dimension where things are lighter, more love, less judgment therefore separation – hence less food is needed especially toxic food.

Taking on a way of eating for any other reason than truly feeding the body and cells is just another way to have judgments and create separation.

As we are living in the 3rd dimension food is needed to sustain ourselves.

Why not eat the best?

Junk food is labelled that for a reason. Are you junk?

When it’s time to leave this world will we truly be thinking how important it was to eat a certain way for a label, true health or how much we loved?

There are people too who use food to escape, self comfort, manipulate, over-indulge in or are addicted to (all the chemicals in the processed foods many are addictive ones).

Real Food

Keep it simple – keep it real – the body then knows how to utilize it well.

Pay attention today to see where you are at with food – aka any judgments with self or others? Pre-occupied continually with food – what to eat and when or are you listening to your body?  If you can’t hear what it truly wants then that is a tell tale sign to start a clean up process as once you let go of any programs or contructs around food and body you can tap into more heart energy and love.!!

Being someone that has struggled with an eating disorder when younger and now realizing I need to share my story and bring awareness so others can overcome their struggles with food, body issues or low self esteem. Dr’s don’t know how to work with this situation and the recovery rate is not very high at all. The one thing that separates an eating disorder or emotional eating from other addictions is that food is everywhere!! We create many gatherings around food, celebrations, deaths, parties and it’s even trendy to be a ‘foodie’ now whether that is raw, vegan, gluten free, paleo or whatever else is out there!! There fore overcoming an eating issue is much harder than say drugs – you can quit those all together.

Healthy Relationship with Food

What is so important to learn or actually in some cases unlearn is how we feel inside – what beliefs or programs are you (was I ) running? With the media today on tv, magazines and the internet we are constantly bombarded and reminded that we are not good enough the way we are and there is something outside of ourselves that is better or will fix our problems or make our life better. We are constantly chasing something or someone……….yet not going within.

It feels so good, so free when we let go, de-program and allow our authentic self emerge!

We need to de-program lack and not good enough and re-program with self love and being good enough.

Maybe it comes with age – when you start realizing some of that crap just isn’t important, maybe it comes with an awakening of some sort, maybe when one decides to finally take the blue pill
I reflect back over my life and look at the times I gave my power away to food, people and places – not feeling good enough or that thing or person had more power over me.

If Everything is Energy – including our states of being – aka not good enough, we can step into realizing that we can change that. If I can feel not good enough – how about feeling good enough – what does that feel like? Try it on. If I hate myself or my body – lets start asking better questions – why would I choose that?
What else could I feel instead? How could I better be myself? Why do I need to follow the crowd or try and fit in? etc
You and I did choose that, we are choosing everything we think and feel. We need to take responsibility for that (waking up) and know we can create something else. How do I want to feel? What would I like to experience?
It has nothing to do with anyone else, judging, comparing, what happened in the past or what might happen in the future. It’s about being fully present in the moment and falling in love with you, your body and your life!!

Quantum Physics is proving that our environment is a reflection or extension of our mind. I will keep repeating that often as our thoughts are electric and our feelings are magnetic. What that means is if I am thinking I am not good enough AND feeling it I am manifesting people and situations that reflect that back to me that I am not good enough. No one has done anything to me that I haven’t been thinking or feeling therefore viberating.
Yes, that may have raised some questions as it did for me many times as I did not understand how I could have created some of the crap I did in my life.

Get Playful & Colourful in Your Imagination

Get creative with your imagination – it all starts there and is very powerful!

Everything is Energy……..that has been proven.
Are you thinking and feeling Love, Joy, Gratitude, Empowerment, Integrity, Bliss, Compassion or not??

Any fear, doubt, lack, anger, frustration etc will over ride those. That kind of energy is dense and heavy.

We can even take it further as many of the Guru’s say this is a variety of ways – don’t look at reality and use that as your guidance, stay focused on how you do want to feel and what you do want to experience – it’s not avoiding it’s a form of overriding. If everything is energy – where attention goes energy flows.

We are programmed for the negative – just look at the news or television – telling a vision – who’s vision though? It sure ain’t yours or mine so if I may suggest stop watching the tv, reading the paper, and buying those crappy magazines!!

I was in a check out line yesterday and I was looking at the magazines and all the headlines – nothing has changed since I was about 20 yrs old and buying into the programming of lack and not good enough way back then – it’s only gotten worse – if I buy this and read it – then my life and body will be perfect………..

Love – Self Love

What is perfect? What is true for you?
It requires slowing down, connecting with self, going within and knowing you are awesome!

Yes – it’s true. We have been lead to believe we aren’t good enough the way we are.
We are constantly chasing something.

We are powerful creators, we have just been doing it unconsciously and now we can learn to create consciously and set our intentions on what we truly desire.

Do you know what your truly desire or desire to feel?
You are good enough and you are deserving – now do you feel and believe that?

Lets start there!! Practice embodying feeling good enough and deserving!

The Winding Road

 

 

After a long embrace and the tender parting of a soft kiss, holding back tears we said so long for now and I got into my car and drove away.

Just like the beginning of the drive down a road of twists and turns as it ran along side a fast running river into the mountains to climb high through the mountain pass – my emotions were dancing a similar dance.

An incredible amazing journey of four months with 11 weeks of it  travelling through 17 states and 7000 miles later my time in the USA had come to an end with an openness of when our next time was.  We had always known when the next time would be but not this time.

On top of those emotions was the Supermoon and it’s energies and an energy of one situation that was creating tension and separation.

For me personally, last week was an intense, emotional week that challenged me on many levels of my thinking, loving and being.

I realize once you go down the path of personal growth towards a higher consciousness, there is no turning back – dammit!!

It’s when in the fire I wish sometimes I could have chosen an unconscious life this time, yet at the same time I know once I move through the fire – the other side is worth every moment of the intensity!!

That is the one thing we must learn and embrace is that everything constantly changes.  That everything is Energy and Energy never sits still – it’s always in motion.  We are beings that think too much, love too little, take little responsibility for our choices and live at status quo which is mediocrity filled with much fear and worry today.

Fear and worries of who and how the new president will handle things – and I’m Canadian and we talk about this stuff!  So much fear on the news, worries about job layoffs and so on.

We are realizing the systems are broke and we can’t keep hanging onto old ways of living, feeling (or not), and being!

Old Abandoned House – Like some Emotions Should Be!

We are tapping into the universal collective, so when something like the supermoon comes it intensifies and if one is open to doing the work, huge growth and potential can come out of it.  It will illuminate your darkest corners, you shadow sides so that you can have a look at it and transmute it so that there is more light.  The world needs more light right now in a big way.

So don’t be afraid to go look at your stuff.  Learn how to move the energy, transmute the lower vibrations of fear, worry etc back to love.

Many ways one can do this – journalling, EFT or any modality that resonates with you.  Stop listening and watching all the fake news as that is controlled too.  Start by going inside of you – breathing, meditating, movement, journalling and listen, really listen in to what your heart is sharing with you.  Stop listening to the status quo.

Trust YOUR inner voice no matter what!

Don’t shy away from any patterns, beliefs or wounds you may have endured as we all have!

We are here or should be here to support one another through challenging times so we can raise all of ourselves into a healthier, higher collective consciousness.

I am so grateful that I had some amazing friends in my life that held the space for me this past week as I dove into my feelings – something that has never been easy for me.  One of the major things with an eating disorder is not wanting to feel – not wanting to be in the body as life has been painful, so we stuff it down, those feelings with food as a distractor.

From the Darkness and Clouds emerges the Light

 

All negative feelings and emotions just want to be seen so that they can leave and once you do it and keep doing it, it’s incredible how much lighter, freer and more joyful you can become.

So honour where you are at, ask for help, journal, take a hot bath, go for a walk in nature, ok I’ll be honest – I stomped through the rainforest dropping some F bombs 🙂 whatever works (as long as it doesn’t hurt you or someone else) – breath deep, cry and most of all don’t judge yourself, allow yourself the time to move thru this.

Remember, if you are too busy to do it when an emotion comes up and you keep surpressing them, then it will manifest in the body as some sort of pain or disease – remember – we are energy, the body, mind and soul ARE connected and we are in the dense third dimension but we can become much lighter!!

Since moving through some of that dark energy I will call it or intense feelings I have come out with more clarity, more self awareness and love as I embark on this new chapter in my life.

Great many things will be happening and I can’t wait to post and photograph them!!

Being Present – what does that truly mean?

Have you ever tried meditating?

Isn’t as easy as it sounds is it?

For most of us  we spend too much time in our heads , or I can really only speak for myself – I have spent way too much time in my head!!

I who struggled with an eating disorder, also struggled to be in my body most of the time, it was easier and less painful to be in my head – and therefore I got to be a little on the analytical side – not saying there is anything wrong with that, but for me it wasn’t always the best thing.

Not wanting to be in the body for whatever reason, which is somehow connected to some sort of pain in most cases, is a way of numbing ourselves, not feeling, which easily leads to over eating or binge eating.  It also leads to multi tasking and rushing through things or life.

Being fully present is not always an easy thing to do – just try meditating.

But the more we can slow down, connects to the inner core, the more present we can be in the moment – not reliving the past (especially memories that elicits anger, guilt, pain, frustration etc) or worrying about the future but truly being full y present in the moment is about being fully connected and alive.

The past is over – let it go, forgive yourself (or anyone else) and let go of any negative emotions.

The future is not here yet, don’t waste the current moment worrying about something that hasn’t come yet.  That’s not to say don’t plan things but I think you know the difference.

For me I am finding breath work has really helped me.  It quiets the mind, relaxes the body, gets me in my body and any emotions that come up I can breath through and release them with ease allowing for more calmness in my life.

Also Long Exposure Photography – it helps with my patience, staying focused and very present.

Whatever helps you spend more time being present – you might be amazed at how doing something so small yet significant can impact your life, besides YOU deserve to have, feel and live a phenomenal life – don’t you think? 🙂
