Christmas time is such a beautiful and a busy time of the year.

Just wanted to take a moment to say Merry Christmas!!

This is my first Christmas without my kids.  My daughter is far away in Australia and my son is spending it with his father – allowing me to travel and spend time with my beloved, keep it simple and out of my norm so I won’t miss them too much!

It’s also the first time in many years that I am with snow at Christmas and oh boy does it keep snowing!!!   If you know me, you know I love wearing my flip flops………but there is beauty in snow especially at this time of the year and I have tried to capture some of it.

I wish that this Christmas is truly one filled with much love, laughter, good food and company.  Don’t let the little things get to you, take time to enjoy the moments and Christmas night is a full moon – it could be interesting!!

Here’s a little gift of health to you – I found this recipe on the internet and had to try it and boy if you don’t want to get sick this winter this is a great remedy.  I made mine, have some every day and it packs a punch!!

Health Tonic

–  24 oz RAW Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs is a good one)

–  1/4 cup finely chopped Organic Garlic

–  1/4 cup finely chopped Organic Onion

–  2 fresh hot Peppers (as hot as possible)

–  1/4 cup fresh grated Ginger (Organic if possible)

–  2 tbsp grated fresh Horseradish (Organic if possible)

–  2 tbsp grated or finely chopped fresh Tumeric (Organic if possible)

Combine all together and put into jar.  Adding vinegar. Close with lid and give a good little shake or stir.

Keep in a cool dry place for 2 weeks.

Shake or stir several times a day.

At 2 weeks, strain the juice, use the mixture for cooking i.e.  add to a soup or a stir fry or…..).

Keep the juice in the fridge and take a tbsp or two a day, you may want to start with 1 tsp as it may be a bit much at first.  Adding Raw Honey is an option if you find it too hot.  Raw Honey is great for you but make sure it’s Raw, so much store shelf Honey is made with corn syrup these days.

This is very anti fungal and anti bacterial – the vinegar being in the raw state is fermented which is great for your system and it has many health benefits. Read more here

It’s cleansing for your system, increases blood and lymph circulation, and is said to help not get colds and flus – yay!!!
